Design and Theatre

I have provided visual designs, including Pitch Decks, logos, and artistic visualization documents for professional businesses. ​My designs have exemplified marketing for numerous productions.

I have also worked throughout theatrical and stage production, ranging from cinematography of production to physical puppetry and set design to animatics and projections for the stage.

Created an acclaimed childrens short puppetry series about two dinosaurs.

I wrote numerous episodes, and also provided all cinematography, editing, visual effects, and audio/music production.

Headed a team of VFX artists in the remastering of the classic sci-fi show "Starhunter".

Provided all-new 2D and 3D assets that needed to match the original aesthetic and integrated with unclean plates. 

I also created the new opening title sequence.

Three recreations of the show Stranger Things using physical puppets against CGI backgrounds, combining the use of 3D animation, particular and lighting effects, and motion graphics.

Who I Am

I am Steven Dirckze

As a highly skilled visual effects editor, filmmaker, and editor, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and creative vision to every project. With a passion for storytelling and an eye for detail, I've had the privilege of collaborating with global brands such as Tongal, The Pokémon Company, and IMAX.

I’ve earned numerous awards for my work in editing, and I played a pivotal role in remastering a classic sci-fi series. My experience as a DMR artist at IMAX allowed me to hone my skills in both online and offline editing, visual effects, media management, and quality control, while working on high-profile, cutting-edge projects.

In addition to my work in film and VFX, I’m also an avid puppet maker and physical artist, adding a unique, hands-on element to my creative portfolio. From crafting digital backgrounds for theatre productions to delivering top-tier post-production services, I strive to push boundaries and bring bold, innovative ideas to life.
